She begins to shake when I bring the box out and her pupils dialate like a drug addict. Beam shows strong temperature dependence but works better when you warm it in your hand before starting it. The range is incredible. at least 5X brighter than a standard red laser. I have not had it for very long, so I cant comment on battery life, or durability, but I presume that it is pretty durable, but I would say, like all lasers, they need to be taken care of to keep them functional as long as possible. ...more

Looks 20-30 times brighter than 5mw red pointer. Even the batteries that came with it are good. The visible beam is awesome as well, you get great target aquisition at night.
