I used my first black ink cartridge up in about 5 months. Lucky for me the print quailty is better than other low priced printers I've had in the past. Not only that, but it probably printed off about 270-280 pages of text for only [$]. Most other ink cartriges are cheaper, but you have to consider that the quality is poor and not as many pages are produced with just one cartridge. You don't even have to pay [$]!
