Although it is true if you follow directly the instructions for installation the software forces you to use "WD anywhere access" which _is_ restricted for protected material, you do not need to do so. So long as you only need to access the drive on your own network you can install it as a simple network drive and have no issues with content. The only problem I have with this is it wasn't clear until after I bought it that there is a parallel product that has two drives allowing you to use mirroring, doing away with ...more
